Abstract
787,813. Valves. ARO EQUIPMENT CORPORATION. July 25,1955 [auk. 9, 1954], No. 21445/55. Class 135. A valve, e.g. for hoists, has fluid pressure supplied at 46 to the ends of a bore 36 in which a plunger 74 is slidable and which has opposite heads 80, 82 movable in and out of reduced ends 38, 40 of the bore for controlling the admission of pressure to inlet ports 50, 52 leading to a fluid pressure motor, and exhaust ports 58, 60 located in the bore to be alternately uncovered by the plunger. The plunger, operated by the lever 104 and gears 100, 96 and 94, moves in a liner 36 with the heads provided with sealing rings 82, 84 moving in rings 38, 40 also provided with sealing rings 42. Spring-loaded fibre pins 90 in the plunger press on the liner to exert a braking effect.
