Class 135 [Also in Group XXXIV] A valve for controlling the flow through a passage in the piston of a master cylinder for hydraulic brakes is moved from the closed position shown in Fig. 4 to the open position shown in Fig. 5 when the pressure on one side of the piston becomes sufficient to flex radially the end of a coiled spring 21 out of a groove 22. The valve is reclosed by contact of the end 16 with a fixed abutment.
