787,719. Bobbin drag devices. SPINNBAU GES. Feb. 2, 1956 [Oct. 5, 1955], No. 3317/56. Class 120(2) A bobbin drag device for textile spinning machines, of the type having upper brake parts secured to a bobbin supporting plate and disposed on concentric circles and adapted to co-operate with lower brake parts fixed to a spindle rail and disposed on correspondingly arranged concentric circles, arranged in such manner that superimposed brake parts on different concentric circles come into action successively according to the increase in the bobbin weight, is characterized in that an upper brake part disposed on an inside circle is carried by a resilient intermediate member which is fixed to the bobbin supporting plate by means which may also act as the drive means for the bobbin, and also in that a lower brake part disposed on the outer circle is connected with the spindle rail by means which enable it to be adjusted from the outside. In the arrangement shown a brake ring 13 is fixed to the underside of the bobbin plate 4 and co-operates with a bottom brake ring 14 disposed on the spindle rail 1. The brake ring 14 is adjustable by a screw thread 15 on an inner lower brake part 2 so that the height of the brake ring 14 can be adjusted by rotation. It can be locked in its adjusted position by a locking means 18. The bobbin plate 4 also carries inner brake parts consisting of blocks 7 mounted on blade springs 8 which are secured to the plate 4 by means of screws which also carry the drive pins 12 for the bobbin 5. The brake blocks 7 cooperate with the inside lower brake part 2 in a resilient manner.
