A drum shaft 8 rotated by a drive 7 is connected to a screening drum 1 by annular membranes 10, 11 so that the drum may be simultaneously oscillated vertically by a rod 2 to which the drum is rotatably secured. The energystoring springs 4 may alternatively be mounted between the drum shaft 8 and the drum 1.
