Class 23 [Also in Group XXXIV] A vertical spindle 1 of a centrifuge is mounted in bearings 2, 3, 4 in a sleeve 6 which is resiliently supported in a machine frame. The upper end of the sleeve is resiliently mounted by a plurality of angularly spaced springs 6<SP>1</SP>. The lower end of the sleeve 6 rests on a resilient support 8 and is located by a rocking ring 13 arranged on a pin 9 of a closure member 10 In a modification, the lower end of the sleeve is located within a rocking ring secured to the machine frame.
