Abstract
782,136. Fuel injection engines. KRUG, H. March 18, 1955 [March 20, 1954], No. 7931/55. Addition to 749,825. Class 7(3) Fuel from an injector 6 is sprayed immediately as a thin film on to the wall of a precombustion chamber 3 from which it is vaporized by the air therein set into rotation by plurality of tangentially arranged passages 4 leading to the cylinder space. The air entering the cylinder may also be set in rotation to assist the rotation in the precombustion chamber and the spraying orifice of the nozzle 6 is arranged close to the precombustion chamber wall. An incandescent igniter 11 may be provided for starting.
