An atomizer supplied at 1 with atomizing air from a vacuum cleaner includes a sleeve 9 with internal and external threads 10 and 11 respectively to which liquid receptacles of different size &c. may be screwed. By closing an outlet 8 of a duct 6 by a finger, air passes to the receptacle and liquid flows therefrom through a passage 5 to a nozzle containing a needle valve 2. Atomizing air passes from an outer nozzle 3 and about the liquid nozzle.
