Abstract
780,125. Powder sprayers. AMIGO, A. Dec. 7, 1955 [Dec. 7, 1954], No. 35452/54. Class 18. [Also in Group XXIX] A liquid or powder container 1, Fig. 1, is of flexible material and has a closure 3 with a spray outlet 7, and a tube 5 depending from the closure has an air inlet 8. When the container walls are squeezed together air is forced into the tube and mixes with liquid or powder rising therein, and the mixture is forced from the outlet. By pushing the tube more or less into the recess 6 in the closure the effective area of the inlet 8 can be adjusted to vary the nature of the spray. Alternatively the air inlet or inlets is or are adjusted by a sleeve which slides on the tube. The closure 11 of Fig. 5 includes a needle valve 18 controlling the spray discharge. In Fig. 8 the outlet 20 is arranged in the end of the tube which protrudes from the closure ; the latter is recessed to accommodate the end of the tube when a cap 22 is screwed in position.
