Abstract

529,285. Spray-producers. BARDIN, G. May 26, 1939, No. 15689. Convention date, March 4. [Class 69 (iii)] An atomizer comprises a hemispherical elastic bulb 1 attached to a sprayer head made of moulded material in which is a duct conducting compressed air to an atomizing opening and a dip tube communicating with the air duct by which liquid is sucked up from a bottle to which the head may be attached. Fig. 1 shows a form in which the tube 6 communicates directly with the air duct 11. In the form shown in Fig. 2 the head carries a removable jet 17 communicating with the dip tube 23 through a passage 20 and projecting into the duct 24 at the spray orifice. The jet is held airtight in the head by a shoulder 19 and elastic packing 20 engaged by a screw 21. A vent may be provided in the head for admitting air to the bottle and the dip tube may be provided with a ball valve.
