Abstract

415,248. Spray-producers. LEMOINE, H. G.,- La BuissonniÞre, Perriers-sur-Andelle, Eure, France. July 7, 1933, No. 19321. Convention date, July 12, 1932. [Class 69 (iii).] An atomizer for paint &c. has a flattened liquid jet 12, Figs. 1 and 3, mounted between members having plane walls 10 parallel to the plane outer walls 11<a> of the jet 12, and having inclined air jets 9 opening into the walls 10 so directed that part of the air is not deviated and part strikes the flattened wall 11<a> of the jet 12. The liquid jet is formed on a body 11 screwed into an end piece 6 in which are formed the passages 9, the end piece being secured to a body portion 1 by a screwed cap 4, annular packing rings 15 being provided to form air and liquid tight joints. The body portion 1 has screwed into it an air tube 2 leading to a space 3 connected by passages 4 to the air passages 8 in the head, and is provided with a transverse liquid supply passage 17 leading to an axial passage 16 communicating with the member 11. The apparatus is brought into action by closing the opening 19 of the liquid passage either by a finger or by a valve, not shown, when the air passing through the passages 9 will aspirate and atomize the liquid.
