778,776. Heating liquids. WARD, G. F. Dec. 13, 1954 [Jan. 1, 1954], No. 12/54. Class 64(1) An apparatus for injecting steam into a liquid comprises a plurality of tapered nozzles 5 attached to the plate 4 which is bolted between a cover 1 connected to the steam supply pipe and a member 6 shaped as a venturi body. The apparatus is immersed in the liquid to be heated and, as the steam is forced through the nozzles, liquid is drawn into the member 6 through holes 11 provided adjacent the nozzles, and the heated mixture of steam and liquid is then discharged into the body of the liquid through the hole 8.
