1402033 Mixing fluids; spray producers AIR INDUSTRIE 9 Aug 1972 [5 Nov 1971] 37192/72 Addition to 1377148 Headings B1C and B2F In apparatus for supplying moist air to an electrostatic spraying nozzle for a coating material (e.g. water-suspended enamel) to prevent build-up of material in the nozzle, the liquid (e.g. water) is contained in a closed tank and subjected through conduits 23, 24 to the pressure difference across an adjustable restriction as at 26 in the compressed air conduit 21, the liquid being put into suspension in the air flow by a hollow needle as at 25. The electrostatic nozzle 7 has an annular 8 orifice surrounded by charged hollow needles 9 all supplied with the moist air, paint being discharged through an annular orifice 6 concentric with the orifice 8.
