Abstract
776,673. Waveguide filters. COMPAGNIE GENERALE DE TELEGRAPHIE SANS FIL. July 5, 1954 [July 3, 1953], No. 19587/54. Class 40 (8). A high-frequency band-pass waveguide filter comprises an adjustable conductive vane 6 for altering the resonant frequency of the guide and compensating rod members which are adjusted to improve the Q of the filter as the position of the member 6 is adjusted. The compensating members may be tubular members 7 which slide over rods 4, or stepped rods 9. The members may be connected to the vane 6 to allow both adjustments to be made simultaneously by means of a handle 13. In a modification (Fig. 5, not shown), the members may be moved by a cam mechanism while the vane is moved by a different mechanism. A complete filter is illustrated in Fig. 7 (not shown).
