Abstract

776,033. Liquid boilers. CLEAVERBROOKS CO. April 22, 1955 [Nov. 17, 1954] No. 11672/55. Class 64(1) In a liquid heater comprising a combustion chamber 17 mounted within and attached at one end only to an outer shell 5, a partition 27 divides the space between the shell and chamber into two interconnected passages through which a pump 40 mounted opposite the free end of the combustion chamber 17 circulates the liquid at a high speed. The shell 5 has near opposite ends an inlet 25 and an outlet 26 for the liquid. Helical flue tubes 19 connect the free end of the combustion chamber 17 to a header 15 which has an outlet flue 21. The burner 11, a combustion air chamber 13, and its blower are mounted on a door hinged to the header 15. A pipe 46 leads to an expansion tank. The shell 5 is insulated and mounted on skids 4.
