Abstract

1,254,770. Water heater. CURWEN & NEWBERY Ltd. 23 April, 1970 [25 April, 1969], No. 21345/69. Heading F4A. Hot gases from burner 10 pass through chamber 13, fire tubes 16, chamber 18 and a flue connector 21 situated on the same side of the boiler as burner 10, to a vertical flue, not shown. The chambers and fire tubes are surrounded almost completely by the water to be heated contained in tank 26 having inlet 27 and outlet 28. The boiler may be fitted through an outside wall, the burner and flue arrangement enabling the chambers and fire tubes to be cleaned entirely from the outside. Decorative or protective casings 31, 32 may be provided and may contain space 30 for a water pump.
