Abstract

773,848. Endless-belt conveyers. VISAGIE, S., and ROPER, S. V. Sept. 14, 1955 [Sept. 15, 1954], No. 26363/55. Class 78 (1). In mechanism for automatically maintaining the position of belts, the belt passes between pairs of rollers 14, Fig. 5A, at the ends of a cross-member 8 which is pivotally mounted on a pin 12 at the end of an arm 13 rigidly connected at 3 to the swinging frame 2 carrying the troughing rollers 1. In a modification the member 8, Fig. 3A, is pivoted at 9 to one end of a lever 10 which pivots on a pin 7 mounted at the end of a bracket 6 projecting from the fixed base supporting the rollers 1. The other end of the lever is formed with a slot 11 to receive a pin 12 which is mounted on an arm 13 connected rigidly to the frame 2.
