Abstract

998,733. Transfer of trays between two conveyers. MANUFACTURERS EQUIPMENT CO. Ltd. April 17, 1962 [Jan. 21, 1961], No. 2496/61. Heading B8A. Trays which are conveyed along roller or belt conveyer 11 are transferred to roller or belt conveyer 12 by a table 10. Table 10 includes fixed frame 13, sub-frame 14 pivoted to frame 13 along the axis y, y, and superposed platform 15 which is pivoted to sub-frame 14 along the perpendicular axis x, x. Platform 15 is biased gravitationally into the position shown in Fig. 2, and both sub-frame 14 and platform 15 are latched in this position by catches 18 and 19. Rollers 20 are provided against which the oncoming tray engages and a roller 22 is provided carried by arm 23 secured to shaft 24 which is rotatably mounted, simultaneously to operate catches 18 and 19. Operation.-The oncoming tray is discharged from roller conveyer 11 on to platform 15 positioned as shown in Fig. 2. The tray engages roller 22 and via the lever systems 25, 26 and 27, 28 and 29 unlatches catches 18 and 19, to free for movement both platform 15 and subframe 14. Platform 15 and sub-frame 14 then tip over together into the position shown in Fig. 3 so that the tray then slides downwards off platform 15 on to roller conveyer 12. Platform 15 is provided with rollers 16.
