708,914. Endless belt conveyers. FISHER & LUDLOW, Ltd., Nov. 27, 1951 [Nov. 28, 1950], No. 29045/50. Class 78(1) A belt conveyer installation comprises an endless belt 10 along which articles are conveyed and a second endless belt 11 adapted to feed a further succession of articles to the belt 10, the upper run of the belt 11 being at a slightly higher level than the upper run of the belt 10. The belt 11 is guided beneath the belt 10 so as to extend beyond the far edge 18 of the belt by rollers 19, 20, returning above the return run of the belt 10. Articles may be deflected on to this extension of the belt 11 by a deflector 28b. A guide plate 24 prevents articles during their transfer to the belt 11 rubbing against the corner 15 of the conveyer framework. Articles may be transferred from the conveyer belt 10 to a conveyer belt 26 by a deflector 28 which may extend completely across the belt 10. Specifications 586,343 and 636,111 are referred to.
