[Also in Group XXXIV] In a piston and connecting - rod assembly for an internal-combustion engine, particularly a two-stroke fuel injection engine, the gudgeon pin 1 is attached to the connecting rod 2, pro. vided with lubricating oil grooves 9 and jour. nalled in a light metal plain bearing 4 having an uninterrupted surface 8 supporting the pin The bearing is positioned in the piston by a spring ring 6. Lubricating oil is supplied to the grooves 9 via conduits 10 and 11, 12 in the connecting rod and gudgeon pin respectively.
