Abstract
767,869. Photographic developers. ILFORD, Ltd. Nov. 8, 1955 [Dec. 2, 1954], No. 34933/54. Addition to 708,479. Class 98(2) A developer as claimed in the parent Specification contains as an additional ingredient an alkali metal or ammonium thiocyanate to permit of use in reversal processing. The developer may contain a calcium ion sequestering agent and may also, contain a small proportion of free alkali such as caustic soda. The developer may' consist of sodium sulphite, potassium carbonate. hydroquinone, 1 - phenyl - 3 - pyrazolidone, sodium hydroxide, potassium thiocyanate, potassium bromide, benztriazole, and water, the range of quantities and the specific preferred quantities being given.
