Abstract

1,030,495. Photographic processing solutions. KODAK Ltd. Sept. 3, 1962 [Sept. 4, 1961], No. 31660/61. Heading G2C. A photographic processing composition in wet or dry form, comprises an alkali, a developer or developers and at least 70 grams per litre of sodium or potassium thiocyanate. A solution of this composition is used to develop and stabilize silver halide emulsions containing print-out images; the thiocyanate in the solution may be replaced by an equivalent amount of another silver complexing agent. In the examples, a print-out paper is image-wise exposed and, with or with-out subsqeuent exposure to daylight, is developed and stabliized in a bath containing 150 grams of potassium thiocyanate and ether l-phenyl-3-pyrazolidone and ascorbic acid or monomethyl para-aminophenol sulphate and hydroquinone as developers. A hardener, such as glutaraldehyde may be added to the bath.
