Abstract

1, 013, 823. Photographic processing solutions. EASTMAN KODAK CO. Dec. 27, 1961 [Dec. 23, 1960], No. 46184/61. Heading G2C. Photographic developers, fixers or developerfixers for silver halide materials contain as thickening agent a colloidal magnesium aluminium silicate such as montmorillonite. Examples are given of fixers comprising sodium thiosulphate and the silicate, and which may contain conventional hardeners, and of developer-fixers containing the silicate, hypo, sulphite, sodium or potassium hydroxide and a mixture of developing agents such as a 3-pyrazolidone and hydroquinone or chlorohydroquinone. The thickened processing solutions are spread on the sheet to be processed and subsequently washed off.
