Abstract

1,047,642. Photographic silver halide materials;transfer processes. EASTMAN KODAK CO. Jan. 16, 1964 Jan. 18, 1963], No. 1928/64. Heading G2C. An unhardened photographic silver halide emulsion contains a tanning developing combination comprising gentisic acid and an auxiliary developing agent such as a 3-pyrazolidone. After exposure, it is developed in an alkaline solution and the unhardened parts washed off in warm water or transferred to an absorbent surface as described in Specification 655, 274. The alkaline solution may contain ascorbic acid, hydrozine hydrochloride, sodium sulphite, sodium bicarbonate or urea. In one example, the emulsion also contains semicarbazide hydrochloride.
