Class 64(1) In steam power plant including a forced flow steam generator 9, steam flows from the latter through a feedwater heater 8 and is returned as steam or condensate to another point in the steam-water circuit of the plant, and a flow control valve 19 is provided in the steam or condensate outlet pipe from the feedwater heater. This valve is automatically controlled either by pressure in the outlet pipe, as shown, or by the temperature of the steam leaving the superheater 11. In the former alternative, a valve 18 regulating the steam supply to the heater 8 is automatically controlled by the temperature of the superheated steam. The pipe containing the valve 19 leads to the feedwater tank 4. A pipe 22 having a valve controlled by steam pressure allows steam to pass to the condenser 1 if steam pressure in the tank rises too high.
