[Also in Group XIII] In steam power plant comprising a forcedflow steam generator or vaporizer 18 heated mainly by radiation, superheaters 21, 23 heated mainly by contact with flue gases, a steam turbine 27, and steam-heated feedwater preheaters 10, 11, 12 (see Group XIII), valves 25. 42 in the turbine steam supply line 24 and a bypass 43 are controlled by a pressure-sensitive device 41. When pressure from the boiler is low at the start, the valve 25 is closed and the valve 42 open.
