Abstract

766,569. Valve amplifying circuits. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd. March 8, 1955 [April 15, 1954], No. 11205/54. Class 40(6) A direct-current amplifying system provided with means for stabilizing the D.C. output level comprises a main amplifier 1, a similar auxiliary amplifier 2 and an output amplifier 5 which is coupled to the main amplifier 1 over a condenser 9. The auxiliary amplifier 2 is also coupled to the output amplifier 5, over a condenser 6 and combining network 4. At periodic intervals the input of the auxiliary amplifier 2 is disconnected from the input terminal and connected to earth, by means of an interrupter 3. During these periods the condenser 6 is also connected to earth, by a further interrupter 7, and disconnected from the combining network 4 for a longer, overlapping period by means of a third interrupter 8. The output amplifier 5 may comprise a cathode-follower. A suitable combining network 4 is illustrated in the Figures (Fig. 2, not shown). Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 754,945.
