764,124. Supporting and mounting bearings. HARDY SPICER, Ltd. Jan. 13, 1955, No. 1045/55. Class 12 (1). A bearing 13 is supported from a fixed frame 30 by means of a block 28 of soft flexible rubber having a plurality of annular slots 45 cored into the block from each end and forming a thin central wall 47. The block 28 is secured to the frame 30 by a U-shaped bracket 31. Bearing seals each comprise a pair of cupped metallic washers 18, 19 embracing a felt washer 20. A dust shield assembly consists of a sleeve member 24 and cup-shaped deflectors 25 and 26.
