In a pressure-roller assembly for a spinning machine, an oil-impregnated porous metal bush 2 is interposed between the roller 3 and its supporting shaft 1. The bush 2 is rotatable on the shaft 1 and play is provided between the bush 2 and the roller 3. Labyrinth seals 4, Fig. 3, may be fitted at the ends of the roller. The bush 2 is preferably made in two parts located by rings 5, 5<SP>1</SP> disposed in suitable recesses.
