[Also in Groups XXIV and XXXV] In a combination driving device for domestic or workshop apparatus comprising an electric motor 1, flexible shaft 7, boxes 8, 9 containing trains of gears and driven apparatus 10 (see Group XXIV), the motor, shaft gear-boxes, &c., are all provided with identical releasable couplings A, A<SP>1</SP>, in order that the parts may be assembled in any desired sequence. The rotating parts of each coupling A, A<SP>1</SP> are connected by diametrically opposite pins 14 on one part received in complementary holes 16 in the other, and the non-rotating parts are connected by diametrically opposite headed studs 13 on one. part received in keyhole slots 15 in the other.
