Abstract
752,485. Coupling shafts. MERLES, A. J. April 9, 1954 [April 11, 1953], No. 10559/54. Class 80(2) A coupling between two shafts to allow for axial misalignment comprises members 6, 13 secured on the shafts 1, 2 respectively and coupled to an intermediate ring member 3 by means of pins 4, 5 on member 6 engaging in holes 8 in the ring 3 and pins 9, 10 on the ring 3 engaging in slots 11, 12 in branches 13a, 13b of the member 13. Angular play between the shafts is taken up by springs 14, 15 between the members 6 and 13 which also serve to locate the ring 3 axially with respect to member 13 by engaging in notches 16, 17 in the branches 13a 13b. The device is applicable to the coupling of rotary condensers in radio apparatus.
