Abstract

760,853. Fuel injectors. CLAYTON DEWANDRE CO., Ltd. May 9, 1955 [June 11, 1954], No. 17283/54. Class 7 (3). [Also in Group XI] A fuel injection orifice 4 is controlled by a spring-loaded diaphragm 5 which is clamped between a body portion 1 and nozzle plate 3 and lifted off the orifice by the pressure of fuel supplied to an annular space 6 beneath the diaphragm, the deflection of which is limited by the wall of a recess 13 in the end face of the body portion 1. The nozzle plate 3 is integral with a sleeve 2 in which the main body part 1 is mounted and the fuel is supplied through a passage 12 to an annular chamber 11 connected by orifices 10 to the annular space 6 formed in the plate 3.
