Abstract

760,405. Lampholders. THORPE, Ltd., F. W., and THORPE, F. W. Jan. 19, 1955 [Oct. 21, 1953], No. 29014/53. Class 38 (1). [Also in Group XI] A screw-threaded lampholder 5 which is split longitudinally and is engaged externally by a coil spring 17 is housed in a recess in an insulating wiring block 2 located in a canopy 1 of a lighting installation and has an outstanding flange 9 on its lower part held against an asbestos washer 12 on a seating on the lower part of the wiring block by bolts 13 passing through vertical holes 14 in the block and having nuts 15 engaging the head of the block. The wiring block has an apertured cylindrical skirt 18 surrounding the lamp 6 and an outstanding flange 22 which is secured in leak-proof manner to the canopy 1 and to a light reflector 7.
