758,470. Liquid meters; gas meters. PILLIN, Ltd., J. B., and EARLY, K. C. Oct. 28, 1954 [Feb. 1, 1954], No. 2976/54. Classes 54 and 69 (2). A liquid meter which may be used for other fluids comprises a swashplate motor having an inlet port 1 and outlet ports 30. A stationary valve plate 3 is urged by the input liquid pressure against a shoulder 6 of the motor casing. A rotatable cylinder block 9 has a ported end plate 8 screwed thereto, a recording spindle 12 having a pin and slot connection with the plate 8 so as to rotate therewith and to allow some axial movement of the cylinder block and end plate. A spring 16 urges the end plate 8 against the valve plate 3. The angle of the swash plate may be adjusted by a screw 26. Ports 27 in the end plate 8 are so positioned that any air entering the cylinders is ejected on the discharge stroke of the pistons.
