Abstract

1351514 Rotary positive-displacement pumps DANFOSS A S 19 April 1971 [24 Feb 1970] 21455/71 Heading F1F A gear-type fuel-oil pump 2 to feed a nozzle 10 has a plate 17 secured to its housing 1 by a screw 18 and furnished with a sealing ring 19 comprising a passage 24 so that by turning the plate through 180 degrees about the screw a chamber 12 can be connected to either an inlet port 4 by way of passages 23, 21 or a discharge port 14 by way of passages 23, 22. Arrows 25, 26, 27 indicate the two positions of the plate. The chamber 12 receives excess oil from a pressure-regulating valve 11. The ports 4, 14 are connected to a reservoir 5 by pipes 6, 15. When the chamber 12 is connected to the port 4 the pump is arranged for "single-line operation" and when said chamber is connected to the port 14 the pump is arranged for "two-line operation". A chamber 20 constitutes an intake duct 3 and incorporates a filter. A screw 28 may be inserted in the port 14 when single-line operation is selected.
