Abstract
A ceramic semi conductive composition comprises silicon carbide-major; tricalcium penta-aluminate-minor. Also present may be an oxide of a heavy metal, e.g. cobalt, manganese, nickel, chromium, iron, or molybdenum. The calcium aluminate can be incorporated as part of a mixture with alumina and silica, such a mixture forming 10-40 per cent of the whole composition.
