Abstract
A spark-gap semi-conductor is made by mixing a major amount of silicon carbide with alumina, and a minor amount of an oxide of any of the metals chromium, magnesium, iron, cobalt, nickel acid, molybdenum, moulding and firing. Temporary organic binder may be added prior to moulding. Firing should be in an oxygen containing gas. Specification 724,211 is referred to.
