Classes 110(1) and 110(3) A gas turbine plant incorporates a multistage, axial-flow compressor 21, (see also Fig. 1, not shown), having separate zones 23, 24 for feeding air and gaseous fuel respectively through flame traps 26, 25 to a combustion chamber 28, the air being preheated in a heat exchanger 27 in series with the turbine 22. The stator and rotor blades of the compressor may be of the free vortex type or else radially sub-divided by platforms. Specification 741,506 is referred to.
