Abstract
752,260. Automatic bunker discharge: conveyers. GREBE, K. May 18, 1954, No. 14618/54. Class 78 (1). A bunker closure device for feeding to conveying belt section 20 of the kind in which the 'said belt section 20 automatically contacts and operates control devices 8, 10 which actuate the pressure fluid motor 5 which in turn operates the bunker closure 1, is characterized by an arrangement of the control devices such that on operation of only one control device the closure remains closed while on the operation of both of the control devices the closure is opened. As shown, the belt section advances from the left, the closure 1 being closed. When the belt section contacts control device 10, air from source 14 passes along pipe 9 as far as control device 8. When the belt section later reaches the said control device 8, the latter is actuated and air passes into pipe 7 to actuate valve 4 which causes motor 5 to open closure 1 so that material falls on to the belt section. When, however, the left end of said section has passed control device 10 the latter shuts off air from source 14 and the closure closes to stop the fall of material.
