Abstract

PURPOSE:To transport an additives without damaging characteristics of its abilities, by providing a blow tank as a agitating device for the titled equipment and exchanging transpoting conditions according to the properties of the additives. CONSTITUTION:In accordance with the kinds of casting steel and the casting condition, additives of required brand is fed from a hopper 2 and a required amount of the additives is fed into a blow tank 7 by a feeder 3. The inside pressure of the tank 7 is raised with a compressed air from an air compression system A. Branches 33, 34, 35, containing regulating valves 39, 40, 41 which control the flow rates conform ed with the transporting conditions are selected from each group of branches 23, 24, 25, and the flow rates for each system A, B, C are set by closing all valves of these branches except stop-valves 36, 37, 38. A stop-valve 47 at th exist side of the tank 7 is opened to send the additives through a transporting pipe 46 to a relaying tank 51. From the tank 51, the additives are charged into a mold 60 through a feeder 55 directly or through a scatter.
