Abstract

751,655. Gas filters. FRAM CORPORATION. April 26, 1954 [May 7, 1953], No. 12033/54. Class 8(2). One or both opposite ends of an annular radially pleated filter paper cartridge 21 are embedded in a closure 30 formed of a moulded resin e.g., vinyl or polyvinyl chloride and each said closure has an outwardly projecting integral gasket 33, 35. The latter bear against end plates of the filter casing, the cover 15 of which is lined with silencing material. The filter paper is supported by inner and outer metal screens 22, 23 the ends of which are also embedded in the closures 30.
