Abstract

1535788 Gas filters D A G MARSHALL 27 May 1976 [30 May 1975] 23588/75 Heading BIT A filter element comprises an annulus of filter material 14 (e.g. pleated paper) sealed to end plates 10, 12, each of which is provided with an integral sealing ring 18 or 20, the rings being of different diameter so that when a plurality of filter elements are stacked together ring 20 of one element lies concentrically within ring 18 of an adjacent element. The rings may be made of polyurethane or foamed polyvinyl chloride. Each ring may have a core (22, Fig. 3, not shown) of foamed plastics or rubber.
