Abstract

751,167. Balanced flue heaters. DIEPENBROCK & REIGERS N.V. May 19, 1954 [June 17, 1953], No. 14741/54. Class 126. The box-shaped body of a balanced flue heater from which a flue and an air supply duct project into a conduit adapted to be cemented into the wall of a room is drawn against the end of the conduit solely by tie-members connected to the wall. A flue duct 5 and a rectangular section air supply duct 4 project from the body 1 of an oil fired heater provided with an outer casing 19. A conduit with its outer end closed by a grid 9 is made in two parts 8a, 8b cemented into the wall of a room, and a U-section frame 10, with asbestos packing 11, formed on the back of the heater body 1 is drawn against the end of the conduit 8b by tie-bolts 14 connected to the wall. Part of the frame 10 is formed by the lower wall of the air supply duct 4. Each tie-bolt 14, Fig. 3, is secured in a slot 17 in a bracket 18 on the body 1 by a nut 16 and at its other end carries a radial arm 13 secured to the wall of the room by bolt 12, so that the frame 10 may be easily aligned with the end of the conduit 8b.
