Abstract

748,688. Photographic silver salt diffusion process. AGFA AKT.-GES. FUR PHOTOFABRIKATION. July. 19, 1954 [July 24, 1953], No. 21021/54. Class 98 (2). An original record on a sheet is copied face-toface on to a direct positive light-sensitive silver halide layer and the latter is treated by the diffusion transfer developing process to give a final copy on a reception layer of negative gradation to the original record. A laterally correct copy with black writing on a white ground may thus be made from an original record with white writing on a black ground. The direct positive layer may be one using the Herschel or Sabattier effect, or the layers of Specifications 443,245 or 748,681 may be used. Specification 614,155 also is referred to.
