758,627. Photographic silver-salt diffusion transfer processes. AGFA AKT.-GES. FUR PHOTOFABRIKATION. Dec. 6, 1954 [Dec. 5, 1953], No. 35309/54. Class 98 (2). The positive layer which may be of nucleicontaining carboxymethyl cellulose, methyl cellulose, polyvinyl alcohol or polyvinyl pyrrolidone is arranged above the negative layer as of formaldehyde hardened gelatino silver chloride or chlorobromide emulsion on the same support as of paper; and after exposure and processing with a solvent such as hypo in the developer, to result in a positive image in the upper layer the latter is transferred with the aid of moisture, heat or pressure to a further support as of baryta paper, film, plastic or fabric, leaving the negative image on the original support. Separation of the layers may be assisted by the provision of a thin intermediate layer between the negative and positive layers. Specifications 614,155, 654,630 and 654,631 are referred to.
