Abstract

1344852 Photographic diffusion transfer EASTMAN KODAK CO 19 April 1971 [26 Jan 1970] 20128/71 Heading G2C A photographic material for the silver salt diffusion transfer process comprises in order a support, a first silver precipitating layer as image-receiving layer, a removable light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, and a second, processing liquid-permeable silver precipitating layer for trapping dissolved salt diffusing out of the emulsion layer. In the Examples, polyethylene coated paper is coated successively with layers of (a) Zn S and gelatine, (b) phthalated ethyl cellulose Na salt, (c) a positive-speed sulphur sensitized high contrast gelatino silver chlorobromide emulsion containing glycerine, salicaldehyde oxime, a methine dye, phthalated ethyl cellulose NH 4 salt and 3-methyl benzothiazoline-2-thione, and (d) Zn S and gelatine.
