Abstract

806,237. Coated paper. GEVAERT PHOTOPRODUCTEN N.V. June 24, 1957 [June 22, 1956], No. 19832/57. Class 96. [Also in Group XX] A colloidal silica layer is applied to a baryta coated paper, satinized if desired by rolling between smooth presses whilst moist and subject to heating, and then a light-sensitive silverhalide emulsion layer is applied over the silica layer, to result finally in photographic images of high gloss.
