743,987. Cutting-machines. SHAW & SONS (HONLEY), Ltd., J., and HALLEY & SONS, Ltd., J. Oct. 1, 1953 [Oct. 1, 1952], No. 24551/52. Class 31 (1). Apparatus for cutting or perforating paper comprises a sleeve 1, adapted to be axially adjustable along a longitudinal member of a cutting or perforating machine, two stripping plates 9 and a cutting or perforating disc 11 being mounted on the sleeve so as to be axially adjustable therewith, and the disc 11 being rotatable relatively to the stripping plates which are each provided with a pair of lugs 17, Fig. 1, adapted to engage a bar 21, extending lengthwise of the machine, to prevent rotary movement of the stripping plates. The disc 11 and stripping plates are secured on the sleeve by means of washers 7 and a screwed nut 13. A number of combined cutters and strippers are adjustably mounted on a cutter shaft.
