Abstract

650,200. Cutting paper. LEGG, O., and GILLINGS, W. H. Sept. 29, 1948, No. 25391. [Class 31 (i)] A paper-shredding machine is provided with a plurality of circular cutters mounted on a shaft, the periphery of each cutter being grooved to receive the toe of a stripper mounted adjacent the cutter, whereby any paper adhering to the cutter is removed by the stripper. As shown, cutters 1 mounted on a rotating shaft 2 and spaced apart by spacers 4a have grooves 3 into which extend strippers 6 mounted on a stationary shaft 5.
