Abstract

708,109. Cuttersfor fodder. THWAITES, L. B. March 11, 1953 [Aug. 1, 1952], No. 19471/52. Addition to 708,104. Class 5 (1) The rotating cutter in the parent Specification is replaced by a cutter having at least two circumferentially spaced half length helical blades 1 2 of opposite helical direction respectively so as to direct the cut material towards the centre instead of towards one end as in the case of continuous end to end helical blades, and the two blades 2 overlap circumferentially at the middle. The blades are supported at the peripheries of discs 5 spaced by sleeves 7 and secured on the shaft 6. Specification 708,089 also is referred to.
