Abstract

741,842. Ceiling linings. DALE, Ltd., J., and SMART, I. L. March 11, 1954 [April 27, 1953], No. 11577/53. Class 20(4). Fibre or like boards 12, Fig. 3, having angle irons 13 secured to their edges are supported by clip bars 1, the vertical limbs of the angle irons of two adjacent boards being located adjacent one another and each having a row of spaced projections 14, or a continuous rib, which engage with longitudinal recesses 8, 9 in the adjacent faces of two limbs 6, 7 of a clip bar 1. Each clip bar 1 is formed of thin gauge steel reversely folded at 5 and bent outwardly about a quarter or a third of the width of the folded strip to form the limbs 6, 7. The boards 12 are secured to the angle irons 13 by screws or by U-shaped members as described in Specification 737,007, [Group XXV]. In the case of boards of large area longitudinally extending channel, angle, or T-irons 15, Fig. 1 are provided, secured by clips 16, 17. T-bars 3 support the clip bars 1 through latches 2 and bolts 4<SP>1</SP> and are themselves supported by telescopic metal hangers 4.
